9.15am — 12.45pm on April 11, 2014
As part of Export Week, This free half day UK Trade and Investment workshop aims to provide delegates with a participative and interactive overview of Language and Culture and their importance in an international business context. In a globalised business world, language and culture moulds our thoughts, values and behaviours, all of which then reflect upon the way we do business. In turn, it then becomes apparent that we are inevitably going to interact with speakers of different languages and representatives of various cultures. The importance of language and culture in international business is underplayed and often overlooked when these key factors can form a barrier to effective international communication. It is aimed at businesses looking to export or currently exporting to markets where language barriers can be challenging. If you are interested in attending, see the ‘more information’ link below to register.
