Video Link – Chris Gaunt, Chairman, The British Chamber of Commerce in Turkey. Chris graduated from Leeds University, and began his career in the Wine and Spirit Division of the Whitbread Brewery Group.
In 1992 Chris embarked on his International career, working with Coopers & Lybrand and Coca Cola, initially in Croatia, then Eastern Europe & Central Asia. He then joined the Efes Beverage Group and following a merger of IFES and Coca Cola was appointed CEO. In 2007 he was appointed President of CCI International Operations (7 countries) from which position he retired from CCI in 2010.
Chris is a board member of various high profile organisations, as well as a Board Member British Chambers of Commerce Global Accreditation Board and Board member of Global Thinkers Forum.
Peter Skinner, MD, from manufacturing company Arkote and SYITF Director, has travelled to Turkey on several occasions, having experience of travelling in Turkey and with the appointment of a distributor. He will share his experiences and advice and will join the panel of speakers to answer any questions.
Member company Macalloy has been involved in a number of projects in Turkey, one of which is the renovation work at Izmir Airport and will share its experience in trading with Turkey.
John Hall, UKTI Advisor is the regional Y&H Champion for Turkey; John has led UKTI trade missions to Turkey and in his previous role delivered partnership projects for the Turkish Chamber Network in Adana, Southern Turkey. John will join the panel and answer any questions on trading with Turkey, including EU-Turkey Customs regulations and related matters.
