EEN Midlands: Doing Business in Germany & Poland

08:30 — 13:00 on March 14, 2014

The Event

This FREE event is designed to help local businesses start exporting – or to grow their exports to Germany and Poland. It will also enable firms to explore new business opportunities in Düsseldorf, Osnabrück and Magdeburg ahead of a Market Visit to the three cities in September.

It is being delivered by Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) Midlands in partnership with Pauline Latham OBE MP, COBCOE, HSBC, the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany, EEN Magdeburg and Derby City Council and will be chaired by DNLCC Group Vice-President Elizabeth Fothergill.

Germany is the UK’s number one EU export market and has a large base of customers with strong buying power. It is one of Europe’s key productivity hubs and is a convenient base for trading with nearby countries in the eurozone.

Poland has one of the fastest-growing economies in the EU, with a strong domestic market, low private debt and a flexible currency. It is not
dependent on a single export sector and was the only European economy to avoid the last recession.

Find out why and how you can take advantage of opportunities in these markets.
